Of the many values and traits that the Bergner family holds dear, it is the ability to stay connected with those who are most important to us that stands out above the rest.
In an earlier time, before school, and jobs, and expanding families began to take precedence, it was significantly easier to coordinate getting together!
Over time, people move around, get married, and start families of their own. The desire to stay connected never dissipates, but it certain does become a little more difficult. Every now and again, there’s always “that” cluster of relatives who start planning and execution of the “Family Reunion” to bring the rest of the family together, from near and far, even if for just a weekend!
After such a refreshing weekend of spending time catching up with all of my aunts and uncles, and cousins and their young kids, Facebook has been a great tool to stay connected and see everyone’s pics, but I also wanted to open up another portal for everyone’s memories at the reunion, as well as some “retro” pics from the pre-Facebook era! My mom and I found some gems while we were preparing for the reunion, and I can’t wait to share them with you all!
